The Burren menu has a wide variety of traditional irish fare like the town's favorite Guinness Stew, Shepherd's Pie and Bangers & Mash as well as well as brilliant vegetarian options like Cottage Pie, Lentil Stew and a Mediterranean Meze Plate. ABOUT ~ A classic Irish pub in Davis Square, Somerville, MA it boasts a long history of supporting sessions in its front room as well as a perfect back room for hosting premier concerts. For more than 20 years, The Burren proprietors, Tommy McCarthy & Louise Costello, have been dedicated to providing wonderful stages for top notch musicians to perform and thrive. Whether it be the brilliant front room Irish, Folk, and Americana sessions, world class headline traditional and main stream acts on the back room stage as well as plenty of community night for local talent to grow, The Burren has provided the stages for the arts to thrive.
Tom's first gig at The Burren was running a humble Sunday evening Songwriter Series. Through the years that has developed into The Burren Backroom Series, a premier showcase series which boasts world class national artists as well as supports the communities up and coming superstar talent. 24 Hour Music books a variety of shows that includes dozens of genres. In fact, the only genre that Tom does not book is taken care of by the legendary Brian O'Donovan (of WGBH's "Celtic Sojourn") who handles all things Traditional Irish Music. The Burren Backroom Series has earned numerous local nominations for "Best Intimate Music Venue".

- By T: We are a short walk from the Davis Square T Stop on the Red Line
- By Bus: The 87, 88, 89, 90, 94 and 96 all stop at Davis Square!
PARKING ~ Leave some time to park! It's a hopping scene!
- Behind The Burren there are 3 hour meters that run until 8 pm!
- When you pass The Burren (It's a one way street) Make your first left on to Grove Street.
- Then either a left or a right into the city lots!
- There are other city lots very similar around the square as well as on street parking!
